I volunteer at a parrot rescue and sanctuary. This is the lovely bird that started it all, Zazu. Her owners knew soon after they got her that parrots weren't best suited to the confines of a house, so built her an aviary. Once word got out, other parrot owners begged to let them bring their birds to live in this cool place. After the addition of two buildings and outdoor flights, there are close to 300 parrots living at Zazu's House. I've always been interested in art. I started with pastels and watercolors, moved on to photography, and have recently discovered the creative joys of computer art. I live in a small town forty miles northeast of Seattle, where the country meets city and the living is relaxed.
