I have a row of these old-fashion rosa rugosas in my backyard. They make a lovely hedge between the house and the patio. The bees love them, and the scent is light yet potent. They grow wild in the country, so they need very little care, ie nothing in our yard. Yet they produce beautiful, fragrant blooms year after year and a bounty of bright red rose hips in the fall.
I've always been interested in art. I started with pastels and watercolors, moved on to photography, and have recently discovered the creative joys of computer art. I live in a small town forty miles northeast of Seattle, where the country meets city and the living is relaxed. I love to travel and gain experiences and inspiration from the many countries I have visited, that are reflected in my work. I have won awards for my photography and fractal art and continually strive to improve my skills, always looking forward to the next adventure.
